KAVARI will do damage to your preconceptions as they are recycled and repurposed. Finding the gaps between electronica, drum ‘n’ bass, and industrial styles isn’t easy, but the search goes on for the Glaswegian based artist. After all, limitations are there to be overcome, and KAVARI plays with the sweetest downtempo darkness, and monstrous beat laden ferocity.
The four tracks of Suture sit at the tougher end of the producer’s oeuvre replete with sirens, murmured refrains, and dangerously dark, detailed beats. If Lady Neptune another Glaswegian resident, and KAVARI, started a live set simultaneously, the city’s foundations would be at serious risk of giving way.
On another point, KAVARI’s mix for Fact Magazine put our head in the clouds knitting together, amongst others, Clipping, FKA Twigs, Yves Tumor and Arca, with her own tracks. Check it out!
