Billowing clouds of rapid shronk and percussive deftness

Mining the possibilities of their musical partnership since 2011, Bertrand Denzler (Tenor Sax) and Antonin Gerbal (Drums), are reaching fresh terrain, commanding billowing clouds of rapid skronk and percussive deftness.

Released via Umlaut Records, Spires sits comfortably into the imprint’s quest for ‘transformation of sound’ as the two long form tracks breathe new life into the duo format.

Riffs are wrestled into submission, embellished with new direction, then sent hurtling into the cosmos. Drums skins are shredded as snare rolls are punctuated with low end thuds to give structure and momentum as the free blowing rawness stacks up.

Cranking the volume will pin you to the wall just before you discover yourself transported over the rainbow.
