SLIKBACK ‘A World I Hope To Die In’

Local rhythms fused with elements of grime & trap

Kenyan DJ and producer, Slikback, brings the full force of his soundclash abilities to bear on new long player, A World I Hope To Die In. As the genres melt between his fingers we wade into deep waters of avant garde serenity. That’s not to say this is a BPM suppressant; far from it. The pulsating, and machine gun like, body slams are bruising, and drag the listener on an uncharted descent into a sandstorm of static. It’s a dazzling display of contemporary local rhythms fused with elements of grime and trap which sees East Africa at the vanguard of electronica.
