SOLEMN BRIGHAM ‘South Sinner Street’

Sep 24, 2021 | Hip Hop, Reviews

A smokin’ fusion of smudged beats & conversational flows

Solemn Brigham, one half of Marlowe with L’Orange, has produced this hugely charismatic solo debut using his hometown of Albemarle, North Carolina, as a springboard to examine society’s degradation and offer hope for the future. Deeply personal, and yet, connected to a myriad of universal themes, South Sinner Street, is also a smokin’ fusion of smudged beats and tight funk. If you haven’t heard Brigham, you’ll discover an author of anthems with a conscience and no small amount of humour. The guy’s conversational flows seek out issues with missile precision and apply street logic that puts him at the forefront of underground hip hop.
