A thrilling roll of the hip hop dice

We’ve made no secret of our love for Philadelphia’s Wrecking Crew and their solo projects. Now, shortly after celebrating the release of Prem Rock’s Load Bearing Crow’s Feet, we find Zilla Rocca dropping some thrillingly fresh beats. Linking up with regular sparring partner, Chong Wizard, and some familiar homies, Vegas Vic appears to be part crime story/alter ego trip, and part reflective memoir. As everyone knows, when you roll the dice you can end up a god or down and out, and Rocca’s wit and wordplay are more than a match for this playground. Pimps, hustlers, and fistfuls of dollars, flash past our eyes with some classic lines laid down….’’see me at the lottery, possibly they spotted me, my turtleneck was Sean Connery’’……’’nightclubbing like Grace Jones with an uncharged phone, you approach me on your own and ask me if I’m all alone.’’ Sin City never sounded this good before. The dice are clearly loaded in our favour.
